A nourishing Shea and lavender treatment for the body
Combine the regenerating benefits of Shea with the soothing virtues of lavender, and you'll get the perfect homemade body butter you'll want in your bathroom at all costs! Composed only of natural ingredients, it is very easy to make at home. Here's what you need:

1 cup Shea butter
1/2 cup sweet almond oil
4 drops lavender essential oil

Melt the Shea butter in a double boiler and add the oils. Pour the mixture into the container of your choice and let stand for about 1 hour in the refrigerator. Then whisk to obtain a fairly thick and frothy consistency. If you find the balm still too liquid and light, you can make it sit a little longer and whisk it again until its consistency suits you.

Keep dry, and use from head to toe without reservation!

A scrub for the homeed body
Sometimes left behind, your lips also need attention! To keep them soft and smooth, consider removing dead skin by exfoliating them regularly, and of course moisturizing them. To make your Shea butter scrub at home, you need:

1 teaspoon Shea butter
2 teaspoons brown sugar
1 teaspoon honey
2 drops vanilla essential oil

In a bowl, mix all your ingredients until you have a smooth texture. Then transfer to a small pot, which you will keep out of the refrigerator, in a dry place and away from the light. You can apply it once or twice a week with your finger by gently massaging. Rinse with clear water.

Then comes the essential and complementary step of hydration. The recipe for natural Shea butter balm is also very simple:

15g Shea butter
10 ml apricot kernel oil
2 drops of wheat germ oil (which acts as a preservative)
2 drops of geranium essential oil (for a floral smell)

Melt together Shea butter and apricot kernel oil in a double boiler. Once you have obtained a well-melted product, add wheat germ oil and geranium essential oil. Pour into your small pot and place overnight in the refrigerator.

Your homemade Shea butter lip balm is ready to use! Just like the scrub, be sure to keep it out of the light and in a dry place, and apply generously on a daily basis. Your lipsticks will hold up better, and your lips will look smoother, without crevices or dead skin!
