Facebook WhatsApp Committed to Follow Advertising Plan

Facebook WhatsApp Committed to Follow Advertising Plan
Facebook earlier this year dropped plans to display ads in its world-leading messaging app, WhatsApp. However, that doesn't mean Facebook has terminated the advertising project in the WhatsApp, in fact it wants to implement it. The Information report says that the Advertising Project in WhatsApp will be implemented when the company does not engage all of its messaging apps.

Earlier in January, the Wall Street Journal reported that Facebook had decided to step back from initial plans to place ads in the WhatsApp, and the company's team has been dissolved and their work is also being done by the WhatsApp code. Clearly, in May last year, Facebook confirmed that ads in the WhatsApp will appear in the Estates section in 2020.

Facebook spokesperson also confirmed the report that the WhatsApp has plans to display ads in the States section. The report for the first time described how targeted ads will be displayed in Facebook incorporated messaging app. For this purpose, the company will use phone numbers to match them with Facebook accounts and to determine ads in the Facebook, keeping in mind the user's interest in Facebook.

However, the project is also considered controversial within the company, and some officials fear that many users will delete their Facebook accounts, while they may face scrutiny in various countries with regulatory issues. But one thing is clear: ads will not be coming up in the Watts app soon, as Facebook has already made it clear that it may take years to get all apps to be added, and the Watts app will eventually be part of the project.

The WhatsApp, is an advertising-free app from its inception, but when Facebook bought it for $22 billion in 2014, it started to change. Brian Acton, co-founder of the WhatsApp, app that left Facebook in 2017, said in 2018 that Mark Zuckerberg has been planning to earn through tagged ads in the Watts app from the beginning.

According to Brian Actes, they decided to leave the company because of such advertisements. Also, John Kom, another co-founder of the WhatsApp, said goodbye to Facebook in 2018. The founders of the Watts app were concerned about the advertising project, which would weaken WhatsApp, end-to-end-in-the-in-the-in-the-in-the-app system. Along with advertising, Facebook is also working on the WhatsApp, business app, which facilitates businesses to communicate with users.

Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg announced last year that Facebook, Instagram and Watts apps would be gradually introduced, and it is likely that introducing ads to the un-scripted service is proving to be a challenge.
