Record Foreign Remittances for Pakistan, April 2022 Increase in remittances from abroad
In April 2022, remittances from workers reached 1 3.1 billion, the first remittance of more than 3 3 billion to the country so far. During April 2022, remittances increased by 11.2% month-on-month and 11.9% year-on-year. During the 10 months of FY22, remittances totaled 26 26.1 billion, an increase of 7.6% over the same period last year. In April 2022, most of the money came from Saudi Arabia (70 707 million), the United Arab Emirates (14 614 million), the United Kingdom (48 484 million), and the United States (6 346 million). Don't send remittances that set a new record.
